Heavy rain alert: Schools shut in Sangareddy, officials on high alert

The Sangareddy administration declared a holiday for all schools after the IMD issued a very heavy rain alert. Collector P Pravinya and SP Paritosh Pankaj inspected low-lying areas as rainfall disrupted life across the erstwhile Medak district

Sangareddy: The district administration has declared a holiday for all schools in Sangareddy following a very heavy rain alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). District Education Officer Venkateshwarlu issued directions to schools as per the orders of Collector P Pravinya.

Collector Pravinya and Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj inspected several low-lying areas in Zaheerabad and instructed residents to remain alert. A control room has been opened at the Collectorate, and citizens in urgent need of assistance can contact officials on 08455-276155.


Normal life was disrupted across the erstwhile Medak district due to continuous rainfall, with several streams flowing at full capacity.
