Heavy rain lash Hyderabad overnight
Minimum temperatures on Thursday come down to 21.2 degree Celsius, which is at least two degrees less than normal

Hyderabad: After raining cats and dogs on Wednesday, the weather in Hyderabad was pleasant throughout Thursday morning and afternoon. The sun was hardly visible through the clouds, resulting in a drop in the temperatures. On Thursday the minimum temperature recorded in the city was 21.2 degree Celsius, which is at least two degrees less than the normal.
On Wednesday night, the city experienced an average rainfall of 35.1 mm. Several localities in the city, including Khairatabad, Balanagar, Saroornagar and Uppal received heavy rains. Kapra received the maximum rainfall of 118 mm, followed by Moulali which witnessed 114.5 mm rain. Kukatpally, Serilingampally, Shaikpet, Hayathnagar and Malkajgiri also experienced moderate rains.

According to the forecast by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad, the city will witness cloudy sky throughout the day, accompanied by light showers at isolated places, for the next few days.
In a yellow thunderstorm warning issued today, the IMD informed that there can be water pooling on roads and low lying areas, causing wet and slippery roads. It also shared that a low pressure area is likely to form over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, around northern Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha coasts around July 11.
Many districts across Telangana also received heavy rainfall on Wednesday night. Adilabad received the highest rainfall of 111 mm. Several other districts, including Kamareddy, Nirmal, Kumuram Bheem, Mulugu, Jagtial and Bhadradri Kothagudem also witnessed heavy rainfall.
The authorities have also posted a five-day Orange thunderstorm warning for some of the districts of Telangana. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rain coupled with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban), Jangaon, Siddipet, Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy and Nagarkurnool districts.![](https://cdn.telanganatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/WhatsApp-Image-2021-07-08-a.jpg)
