Sangareddy: Heavy rains lashed Sanagreddy town overnight Tuesday resulting in the inundation of several low-lying areas.
The town received a record of 107.8 mm rainfall during the past 24 hours at 8.30 am on Wednesday while Mogadampally and Hathnoora mandals recorded 98 mm and 61.7 mm of rainfall respectively.
Since the rest of the district received just moderate rains, the district recorded 15 mm average rainfall. When the citizens woke up on Wednesday morning, the roads remained full of water.
The cellars flooded with rainwater and low-lying areas witnessed floods. The citizens were seen wading through the rainwater to come out of their colonies.
