Heavy rains affect normal life in Telangana; some districts still left with deficit rainfall
Heavy rainfall affected normal life in Mahabubabad, Medak, and Sangareddy, with streams overflowing. Despite overall normal rainfall in Telangana, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jagtial, and Peddapalli districts remain below normal, highlighting uneven rainfall distribution across the State.

Hyderabad: Normal life was affected in the three districts of Mahabubabad, Medak and Sangareddy, which received heavy rainfall triggering floods in the local streams during the past 24 hours.
Mahabubabad recorded the highest rainfall of 50.1mm for the day, followed closely by Medak with 47.6mm and Sangareddy with 32.4mm. Khammam reported a rainfall of 27.2 mm while Nizamabad and Kamareddy recorded 24.6mm and 21.6 mm respectively reflecting uneven distribution across the State.
The most concerning situation prevailed in Mancherial, Nirmal, Jagtial and Peddapalli districts where rainfall remained considerably deficient despite heavy rains this week. The State recorded an average rainfall of 10.3 mm against a normal of 6.3 mm on Friday, resulting in a cumulative rainfall of 509.2 mm.
While the State as a whole has received normal rainfall, many pockets were still left with below normal rainfall.
