Heavy rains lash Medak and Sangareddy, highest of season recorded
Heavy rains lashed Medak and Sangareddy districts, with Chilipched recording 146 mm and Vatpally 135 mm. Continuous downpour over the week brought heavy inflows to Singur, Pocharam dam, and Ghanpur anicut.
Medak: Parts of Medak and Sangareddy districts received heavy rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 7 am on Friday. Chilipched mandal in Medak recorded 146 mm, the highest in the district this season, while Vatpally mandal in Sangareddy received 135 mm.
Bujarampet village in Medak reported 109 mm, with the erstwhile Medak district experiencing continuous rains for the past week.
Several project sites, including Singur, Pocharam dam, and Ghanpur anicut, witnessed heavy inflows.
