Vikarabad: Heavy rains lashed several parts of the district, leaving many areas inundated, disrupting power supply, cutting off road connectivity to a few villages, and throwing normal life out of gear.

Following heavy inflows, the Kotipally project has reached full capacity, with water flowing towards the Nagasamundram bridge. Officials have cautioned people against venturing into the area and urged residents to remain alert.

Traffic movement has been suspended at the Gotti Mukla bridge due to the overflowing stream. Similarly, water is flowing over the Nagasamundram bridge, affecting vehicular movement in Dharoor mandal. The temporary mud bridge constructed at Nagasamundram was washed away due to the strong water current.

Traffic between the Karnataka border and Tandur has also been suspended owing to the heavy rains and overflowing Kagna rivulet. In Muddaipet, a bridge at Kokat was washed away, flooding nearby residential colonies.
