Warangal Urban: IT and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao will attend a series of foundation laying and inaugural ceremonies besides addressing two public meetings under the limits of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) during his day-long visit to Warangal on Monday.
Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, and Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar will also participate in the programmes.
According to the tour schedule, the Minister will arrive at Rampur village under GWMC limits around 10.30 am and formally launch the daily water supply to the households under the GWMC limits. He is scheduled to lay the foundation for the construction of Journalist Colony with a total of 200-2BHK houses at Deshaipet and 600 – 2BHK houses at Dupakunta.
Since several junctions were developed by the GWMC and KUDA, he will inaugurate them and also lay foundations for the construction of integrated veg and non-veg markets. “The fruit market constructed at Laxmipuram at a cost of more than Rs 6 crore near Warangal Railway station will be inaugurated by Minister KT Rama Rao,” said an official.
Speaking to ‘Telangana Today’, Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar said that he along with Minister Satyavathi Rathod had inspected the development works in the city and directed the officials to give the finishing touches and decorate the junctions as KTR will inaugurate the development projects.
“KTR will address a public meeting at Shayampet under Warangal West constituency. He will have a brief stay to have lunch at NIT Warangal,” he added.
Meanwhile, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao inspected the NIT campus on Sunday evening in view of KTR’s visit and inquired about the arrangements. The MAUD Minister will attend at least 18 programmes during the visit before leaving for Hyderabad around 8 pm.
