Hyderabad: Help Hyderabad, a city-based NGO started a 50-bed quarantine centre at St Ann’s Hospital in Nawab Sahab Kunta. The isolation centre is manned by a team of doctors round-the-clock and supported by paramedics and nurses. It is also equipped with oxygen cylinders, ECG machines and other medical equipment.
Saba Quadri, chief coordinator, Help Hyderabad, said the centre is catering to people staying in Nawab Sahab Kunta, Teegalkunta, Jahanuma, Falaknuma, Hassannagar, Kalapather and nearby areas. The centre was set up in collaboration with the American Muslim Physicians of India Origin (AMPIO) and few other organisations.
“We have also started home treatment for patients who under unavoidable circumstances cannot be admitted at the centre. A team of doctors will provide free consultation at the doorsteps of the patient,” Saba said. All the services are being provided free of cost.
