Hyderabad: Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) in collaboration with Modern Architects for Rural India (MARI) and Azim Premji Foundation has set up a Covid help desk at Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS), Gachibowli, to assist hospital administration in streamlining and improving patient care, admissions and follow-up of patients.
A team of five counsellors will be manning the help desk and help out the hospital administration and patients. Two counsellors will be available at the entry of Triage to check for reports of patients and facilitate admissions. The other two counsellors will be getting a list from the hospital of all the IP cases and inform their family/attenders on health status. The counsellors will also offer counselling services to the attenders of deceased patients.
The HHF is already running similar held desks at various government Covid centres including Gandhi Hospital, OGH, King Koti and Chest Hospital. “Through our help desk, we are able to assist in improving patient care and also help in informing patients about the availability of hospital beds and in the movement of patients from one department to other,” Mujtaba Hasan Askari of HHF said.
