Hyderabad: The State government on Friday issued notification declaring the public holidays as well as general holidays and optional holidays to be observed for the year 2022. Accordingly, there will be 23 public holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act and 28 general holidays for government offices along with five optional holidays out of 23 notified holidays for occasions / festivals.

Further, all the State government offices will remain closed on all Sundays and Second Saturdays in all the months during the year 2022, except the Second Saturday (12.02.2022) in the month of February, 2022 which will be a working day in lieu of public holiday declared on January 1, 2022.

If there is any change of date in respect of Idu’l Fitar, Idu’l Azha, Muharram and Id-e-Milad as per the moon sight or any other holiday declared now, it would be announced in advance prior to the holiday.
