Hyderabad: The Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) signed a Memo of Understanding (MoU) with the Hyderabad City Police for a long term health and fitness programme for the police personnel.
As part of the program, the HHF will be conducting screening, counseling and fitness programmes.
“The city police force unlike other police units works under tremendous pressure and stress, health often takes a toll on them. Through this programme, we intend to assess and design solutions that can help them improve their general health and fitness levels,” HHF foundation president, Mujtaba Hasan Askari said.
Initially, police personnel will be screened for fitness at the police station level after which special programmes will be organized at police training centres by fitness coaches. These will have aerobics, floor and cardio exercises aimed at weight reduction and toning the body.
