Hyderabad: Despite rising criticism from all quarters over Forest Minister Konda Surekha’s objectionable comments over film actresses, especially Samantha’s divorce, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said the high command has not sought any explanation over the Minister’s issue.
It was opposition parties’ false campaign that the Forest Minister would be dropped from the cabinet. The Minister had tendered apologies and withdrew her comments and the entire episode was closed, he reportedly said during an informal chit chat with media here on Friday.
With MLC Naveen (Teenmaar Mallana) commenting openly on the Congress apathy towards BC community issues, the TPCC president said it does not mean anti-party affair. The Congress was committed towards BCs welfare, he stressed.
Filling up of nominated posts and constitution of TPCC working committee got delayed as senior leaders in New Delhi were busy with Haryana elections. The exercise would be completed by Diwali, he said, adding that many more BRS leaders were keen to join the Congress.
He also claimed that nearly 50 percent residents affected due to Musi Riverfront project, had agreed to support the project. It was a top priority project for the State government, he stressed.
