Hyderabad: A total of 162 tri-service officers, including officers from friendly foreign countries, successfully completed the Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC) at the College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad.
Air Marshal BR Krishna, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC) to the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee presided over the valedictory ceremony and felicitated the graduating officers for successful completion of 44 weeks of curriculum.
In his address, Air Marshal BR Krishna emphasized that qualitative acumen reinforced by quantitative rationale during the course will enable officers to make informed decisions to bridge execution gaps in their future assignments. He exhorted the participants on development of strategic thought, importance of disruptive technologies, hybrid warfare and jointness amongst the three Services for effective execution of operations.
Officers from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Vietnam received a Master of Management Studies (MMS) degree from Osmania University and an All India Management Association Certificate of Advanced Course in Management (AIMA).
