Himayat Sagar inflows trigger alarm, HMWSSB issues another flood warning
With rising inflows into Himayat Sagar, HMWSSB issued its fourth flood warning in four days, cautioning residents along the Musi River. The water board said releases will be increased to 6,000 cusecs, while GHMC monitors Hussain Sagar levels.

Hyderabad: The HMWSSB on Monday issued a flood warning due to increasing inflows into Himayatsagar.
The water board is closely monitoring the situation as water levels continue to rise, prompting repeated alerts to ensure public safety, mainly for citizens living along the Musi River.
The Hyderabad water board has issued multiple flood warnings this month. The Monday alert happens to be the fourth following previous warnings on August 14, August 15, and August 16.
“Due to an increase in inflows, the releases from Himayat Sagar will be gradually increased to 6000 cusecs from 10:30 AM onwards,” an official release stated.
Meanwhile, GHMC is monitoring the water levels in Hussain Sagar.
