HMDA plans Rs 4 lakh crore infrastructure projects for Hyderabad Metropolitan area by 2050
The HMDA announced Rs 4 lakh crore infrastructure projects for Hyderabad Metropolitan Area up to 2050, covering roads, bridges, skywalks, elevated roads, and RoBs/RuBs. A workshop on the Comprehensive Mobility Plan discussed additional metro and MMTS networks.

Hyderabad: The HMDA announced an estimated Rs 4 lakh crore worth of infrastructure, including road network, foot-over bridges, skywalks, bridges, elevated roads, RoBs and RuBs, for the Hyderabad Metropolitan Area, up to 2050.
During a workshop on Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for Hyderabad Metropolitan Area (HMA) on Thursday, various proposals under CMP were discussed. These include an additional metro network and an additional MMTS network.
Proposals discussed during the meeting include additions to road/ highway network apart from Foot-Over Bridges/Skywalks, ROB and RUBs, and elevated roads, among others.
The workshop was chaired by Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary, MA&UD.
