HMDA to distribute 1 lakh eco-friendly Ganesh idols in Hyderabad
The HMDA will distribute 1 lakh free eco-friendly Ganesh idols, eight inches tall, to citizens and NGOs across Hyderabad from August 24–26. The initiative promotes environmentally safe materials during Ganesh Chaturthi at 34 designated city locations
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has announced the distribution of 1 lakh eco-friendly Ganesh idols, each measuring eight inches, free of charge to citizens and NGOs.
The initiative aims to promote the use of environmentally safe materials during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Idol distribution will take place at 34 locations across the city from August 24 to 26.
Notable distribution points include KBR Park Main Entrance, Press Club-Somajiguda, Yellamma Temple-Balkampet, Peddamma Temple-Jubilee Hills, Rythu Bazar-Mehdipatnam, Shilparamam-Hitec City & Uppal, Ganesh Temple-Secunderabad, HMDA Office-Maitrivanam, Tank Bund, Secretariat, NTR Garden, Priyadarshini Park-Saroornagar, Rajeev Gandhi Park-Vanasthalipuram, Kundan Bagh IAS Colony-Begumpet, Durgam Cheruvu Park, Melokote Park-Nayaranguda, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan-Sainikpuri, Safilguda Park, and MindSpace Junction.
