HMDA to issue TDR certificates in CURE area after Telangana government order
The Telangana government has amended rules to enable HMDA to issue and utilise Transferable Development Rights certificates for lands required or surrendered for projects in the CURE and PURE areas and Secunderabad Cantonment area.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will henceforth issue ‘Transferable Development Rights’ (TDR) certificates in respect of lands required/surrendered for projects in the ‘Core Urban Region Economy’ (CURE) area.
The special chief secretary, Metropolitan Area & Urban Development (MA&UD) Department, Jayesh Ranjan, on Friday issued G O MS No 218, stating that G O MS No 235 issued by the MA&UD Department on 12/12/2022 was further amended by substituting the words ‘ORR limits’ with ‘HMDA area’, thereby enabling utilisation/disposal of eligible TDR within the HMDA area.
Now, to streamline the issuance and utilisation of TDR in respect of lands required/surrendered for projects being implemented by the HMDA within the CURE & PURE and in respect of lands falling within the Secunderabad Cantonment area, where such lands are required/surrendered for public purpose/project development, according to the G O.
The HMDA will process all TDR certificates online only. The TDRs will be issued under the Telangana Buildings Rules 2012, said the G O.
