Hoax bomb threat email triggers security scare at Sircilla District Court
A hoax bomb threat email sent to the Rajanna Sircilla District Court triggered panic on Monday. Police conducted a thorough search of the premises with a bomb disposal squad and canine unit before confirming that the message was fake.
Rajanna Sircilla: The District court here received a hoax bomb mail saying that the court would be blasted by a bomb planted on the court premises. The hoax message was sent to the official email of the court on Sunday.
The court staff, who saw the message on Monday morning, called the who took up searches of the building along with a canine and bomb squad.
However, no explosive material was found and the mail was declared to be a hoax. Court staff, advocates and clients, who panicked after knowing about the bomb threat message, heaved a sigh of relief as it was proved to be a hoax message.
