Hyderabad: Nizamabad defeated Mahabubnagar 4-1 to emerge champions of the Mukesh Gold Cup under-16 five-a-side one day tournament, conducted by Hockey Rangareddy, on the occasion of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary, at the Railways Ground on Sunday. Hyderabad: Nizamabad defeated Mahabubnagar 4-1 to emerge champions of the Mukesh Gold Cup under-16 five-a-side one day tournament, conducted by Hockey Rangareddy, on the occasion of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary, at the Railways Ground on Sunday.
Earlier, Sports Minister V Srininvas Goud inaugurated the tournament, which saw 10 districts competing in it. Film producer Ram Gopal Verma, Telangana Hockey president Saral Talwar and Chamundeshwarnath presented the trophies to winners.
