Khammam: People of all age groups soaked in colours as the festival of colours, Holi was celebrated with pomp and gaiety across the district on Friday.
It might be noted that in the past two years the festival was celebrated in a subdued manner due to restrictions imposed in the wake of Covid-19. With the Covid crisis easing now people came onto the streets and celebrated the festival freely.
Enthusiastic celebrations took place at Khammam police headquarters where District Collector VP Gautham and Commissioner of Police (CP) Vishnu S Warrier joined the police officials and staff playing with colours. The officials danced to the popular tunes enjoying the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion CP said Holi spreads affection and affection among the people. He wished for cordial relations among the police families and wanted them all lead a healthy life.
