Hyderabad: A home guard died, allegedly by suicide, after hanging himself in his house in Narsingi on Monday evening.
According to the police, Rajender Prasad (41) who worked as a home guard with the Tappachabutra police station hanged himself to iron rods in his asbestos-roofed house in Narsingi village on the city outskirts.
Family members told the police that Rajender Prasad was addicted to liquor and was also suffering from health issues and might have ended his life over it.
Based on a complaint, the Narsingi police booked a case and took up investigation.
