Home Guard removed from service over alleged assault of woman near Hafeezpet station

A Home Guard allegedly involved in the assault of a woman near Hafeezpet Railway Station has been removed from service, DGP C V Anand said. Anand directed the Cyberabad Police Commissioner to take immediate action and register a criminal case.

Hyderabad: The Home Guard allegedly involved in the assault of a woman near Hafeezpet Railway Station was removed from service and a criminal case will be registered against him, Director General of Police C.V. Anand said on Saturday.

Anand said the home guard was working on deputation with the Railway Police Force. He said he had directed the Cyberabad Police Commissioner to take immediate action in connection with the incident.
