Hyderabad: Eminent Earth Scientist Prof Shakeel Ahmed, who recently joined as a consultant at the School of Sciences, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), has been elected fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). He was elected in recognition of his outstanding contribution to science and its promotion in the developing world.
MANUU Vice-Chancellor Prof Syed Ainul Hasan congratulated Prof Shakeel Ahmed for this achievement. The world academy based at Trieste, Italy was established in 1983 by a group of distinguished scientists from the developing world. It supports sustainable prosperity through research, education, policy and diplomacy.
