Hyderabad: Prof. Dr. T.V.K. Singh, who was the first Dean of Agriculture faculty of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), has been selected for a prestigious fellowship of Royal Entomological Society of London.
The honour recognises Dr Singh’s pioneering contributions in the area of agricultural entomology. In his 33-year-long service in Agricultural University, he made significant contributions in the fields of teaching, research, extension and administration, a press release said.
Dr. Singh did his PhD from the prestigious Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi and has more than 150 research articles in his publication basket in reputed national and international journals. He even guided 30 M.Sc. and PhD students, and as consultant in ICRISAT he has trained more than 20,000 farmers on plant protection in major crops.
