Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy on Tuesday said a special hospital would be set up for workers of Yadadari Thermal Plant at Veeralapalem of Damaracherla mandal in Nalgonda district. The Minister, accompanied by Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Genco Devulapally Prabhakar Rao, inspected the ongoing works of Yadadri thermal power plant and held a review meeting with the officials of BHEL, TSGenco and Transco. He also discussed with the officials the problems being faced by workers at the plant site in the wake of the spread of Coronavirus.

The Minister also underlined the need to take up measures to instill confidence among the workers to avoid delay in execution of the project. He said a 20-bed special hospital would be set up at the site of the thermal power plant and instructed the officials to get the hospital ready within 10 days.

The required doctors and staff should also be appointed immediately. BHEL Project Director Sisodiya, Transco Directors Ajay TRS Rao and others were also present on the occasion.
