Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s family members of involvement in large-scale irregularities and corruption and demanded that the Central government initiate appropriate action against them.
BRS official spokesperson Manne Krishank alleged that the Chief Minister’s younger brother, Anumula Kondal Reddy, had been declared a patient suffering from memory loss.
He said it was stated before a court that Kondal Reddy, chairman of defence and aerospace firm Tesseract Advanced Systems, was suffering from memory loss. A certificate was also submitted to the court stating that Kondal Reddy had been admitted to Medicover Hospital for treatment, Krishank said at a press conference here on Saturday.
“Yet, land is being allotted to a defence and aerospace company owned by such an individual. We want to know from Union Home Minister Amit Shah what action is being taken in this matter,” Krishank said.
The BRS leader also alleged that the Chief Minister’s younger brother was trying to purchase a high-end international-model car, but banks had refused to grant clearance. He demanded that Kondal Reddy disclose his CIBIL score.
The BRS further alleged that the State government had not released funds to the SC Corporation or BC Corporation. It also claimed that not a single rupee had been allocated to the Rajiv Yuva Vikas initiative.
“Revanth Reddy’s government has established a new corporation, the ‘RR Corporation’. Revanth Reddy’s daughter, Naimisha Reddy, has invested in schools. Under the name ‘Swachh Bio’, one of the brothers holds land worth Rs 1,000 crore. Another brother has made investments in the defence sector,” Krishank alleged.
He further claimed that the family members were using their businesses to rotate funds and had investments in hospitals, schools and construction projects, including the development of 50-storey residential buildings.
“How has this business empire of the brothers grown so significantly in just two years?” he asked.
Referring to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent visit, Krishank said the Union Minister had mentioned “RR Tax” and questioned why no action had been initiated or investigation ordered into the allegations.
