Hyderabad: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has donated fully automated Bio-chemistry Analyser and fully automated Hematology Analyser to Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Telangana under CSR activity at an event held at Red Cross Society Blood Bank in Vidyanagar.
The blood bank provides free blood transfusion facility to about 1000 thalassemia children from poor background free of cost every month. Each time during transfusion, the blood bank has to test donor and recipient blood for different medical parameters which was tedious. Both equipment donated by HPCL are latest models and will help in fully automated testing of blood samples to serve patients timely, a press release said.
DN Vijayendra Kumar, CGM-IS from HPCL handed over the equipment to Dr K Pitchireddy, Director, IRCS, Blood Bank in the presence of Madhu Mohan, general secretary, IRCS Telangana.
