Humorous book ‘Bandi Shatakam’ promotes road safety through poetry

Hyderabad: A unique humorous book titled ‘Bandi Shatakam’, written with 116 poetic verses aimed at promoting road safety among motorists and authored by Dr Shankar Narayana, was released in Hyderabad.
In ‘Bandi Shatakam’, Dr Shankar Narayana creatively presented serious road safety issues in the form of verses, combining humour with a social message to effectively influence public behaviour. The book, which was brought out by city-based Sarvejana Foundation, was formally launched by its Chairman, Dr A V Gurava Reddy, on Wednesday.
Sarvejana Foundation CEO and retired IAS Dr B Janardhan Reddy said the book is part of a process aimed at changing mindsets by blending humour with serious subjects. Author Dr Shankar Narayana and other office bearers of the Foundation were present at the book release.
