Sangareddy: Unidentified persons allegedly thrashed a man and raped his wife at Mamidipally cross road in Kandi mandal in the early hours of Tuesday.

The woman and her husband had got down from an auto-rickshaw on NH-65 at 4 am near Tilottam Gardens. While they were proceeding towards Mamidipally village, some unidentified persons stopped them. When the husband tried to protect his wife, they thrashed him and raped her.


The victim and her husband, with the support of their relatives, approached the Sangareddy rural police a few hours later. The police sent the victim to the government hospital in Sangareddy for medical tests. A probe is on.
