Husband on the run after killing wife in Hyderabad
A 32-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband after a domestic dispute in Borabanda, Hyderabad, with police saying the accused suspected her fidelity and attacked her with a grinding stone before fleeing the scene.
Hyderabad: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband following a domestic dispute in Borabanda on Monday night, triggering panic in the locality.
The victim, identified as Saraswathi, was attacked with a grinding stone by her husband, Anjaneyulu, who is currently absconding. Police said the accused suspected his wife’s fidelity and frequently quarrelled with her over the issue.
On Monday night, an argument reportedly escalated into violence, during which Anjaneyulu allegedly picked up a grinding stone and assaulted Saraswathi, causing fatal injuries. She died on the spot.
Police rushed to the scene after being alerted by local residents and shifted the body for post-mortem examination. A murder case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the accused. Further investigation is in progress.
