Hyderabad: Hussain Khan remained the lone Indian to make it to the pre-quarters of the IBSF World Snooker Championships in Doha (Qatar) on Thursday.
Hussain scored a comfortable 4-2 win over Poland’s Krzysztof Czapnik in the second round. He is just one win away from qualifying for the final stage of the competition. Hussain will face Germany’s Richard Wienold later in the evening in a do-or-die match.
The other Indians in the fray — Dhvaj Haria, Malkeet Singh, and Paras Gupta — suffered narrow losses and bowed out of the prestigious event.
