Huzurabad: Nineteen nominations including All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidate’s paper were rejected during scrutiny held on Monday. A total of 61 candidates filed nominations to contest the Huzurabad by-election scheduled on October 30.
Officials received 92 sets of nominations from 61 candidates by October 8, last date to file papers. On Monday, election authorities carried out scrutiny wherein 19 nominations were rejected for not filing the paper according to the guidelines of Election Commission of India.
AIMIM candidate Taher Kamal Khundiri nomination was also rejected for filing nomination in wrong format.
