Huzurabad bypoll: Committee to finalise Congress candidate

Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy on Friday said the committee headed by former Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha will finalise the Congress candidate for Huzurabad bypoll. Revanth Reddy said: “Had former Minister E Rajender contested as an independent candidate in the bypoll, he would have been recognised as a leader who fought for Telangana. But since he joined BJP, he lost that recognition.”

Regarding the party launched by former Chief Minister YS Rajashekhar Reddy’s daughter YS Sharmila, he said: “As far as I know, she is an arrow shot by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.” Criticising the Telangana government, he alleged that despite spending over Rs one lakh crore, not a single irrigation project was completed in the State. The TPCC president further said that all the Congress MLAs who joined TRS will not be spared at any cost.
