Hydderabad: Husband kills wife over suspicion in Meerpet

Hyderabad: A gruesome murder shocked residents of Meerpet in the early hours of Wednesday, after a man allegedly beheaded his wife over suspicion.
The suspect identified as Narasimha (60), is said to have killed his wife Vasantha (52) by attacking her with a knife at their residence near BN Reddy Nagar, under the Meerpet police station limits.
The couple, natives of Shivannagudem in Nalgonda district, had been living in the area for livelihood.
According to police, the incident occurred at dawn when Narasimha brutally assaulted Vasantha and severed her head.
Locals alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and took up investigation.
A case has been registered, and further probe is underway to ascertain the exact motive behind the murder. Efforts are on to trace and arrest Narasimha.
