Hyderabad: A 12-year-old boy, Nitish Kumar, has earned a place in the India Book of Records for his outstanding performance in the Speed Cube Competition. He will be participating in the competition to be conducted by WCA (World Cube Association) in August.

With the encouragement of his parents, Nitish started learning at a very young age of seven by watching YouTube. He won gold medal in an online tournament organised by the Grand Speed Cube International Tournament. He participated in several tournaments and also won 16 certificates of appreciation, nine trophies, three shields, and two gold medals.

A Class 7 student at Dilsukh Nagar Public School, Nitish was nominated for the President of India Award from Telangana for 2024-25 but narrowly missed the opportunity. Now, he has earned a place in the India Book of Records.

His parents Anusha and Girish Kumar expressed happiness over their son’s success.
