Hyderabad: 1,374 children rescued in Cyberabad under Operation Muskaan-XI

Cyberabad Police rescued 1,374 children under Operation Muskaan-XI during July 2025. Most were victims of child labour, begging or abandonment. While 1,321 were reunited with their families, 53 were sent to shelter homes. Police filed 316 cases

Hyderabad: During the month-long Operation Muskaan-XI, the Cyberabad Police rescued 1,374 vulnerable children from various exploitative situations in July 2025.

A total of 11 specialised teams conducted extensive rescue operations at industries, commercial establishments, and public spaces. The details of the rescued children were uploaded to the “DarpanApp” for identification and tracking.


Of the total rescued, 1,328 were boys and 46 were girls. While 914 children belonged to Telangana, 460 were from other States.

Most of the children were rescued from child labour, while others were found begging, had run away from home, or were rescued from orphan homes.

Officials said 1,321 children were reunited with their families, while 53 were sent to shelter homes for rehabilitation. A total of 316 cases were registered under various laws.
