Hyderabad: 17,957 approvals issued via BuildNow portal in 2025-26

Over 17,900 building and layout permissions and occupancy certificates were issued through the BuildNow portal across GHMC, CMC and MMC in 2025-26, generating Rs 1,172.08 crore in revenue, with CMC contributing the highest share.

Hyderabad: A total of 17,957 building and layout permissions and occupancy certificates were issued through the BuildNow portal for the three municipal bodies of GHMC, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) during the financial year 2025-26.

According to a press release issued here on Friday, the GHMC approved 5,755 building and layout permissions and occupancy certificates, while CMC approved 5,403 and MMC approved 6,799 building and layout permissions and occupancy certificates.

The civic bodies also approved building and layout permissions and occupancy certificates by processing 972 instant registrations, 12,014 instant approvals and 2,515 through the single window system. Meanwhile, 2,427 occupancy certificates were also issued, according to the official release.

The revenue for the civic bodies was Rs 1,172.08 crore in 2025-26, with CMC earning Rs 538.09 crore, followed by GHMC with Rs 436.47 crore and MMC with Rs 198.24 crore.>crore.
