Hyderabad: A man approached the SR Nagar police saying that his bag containing 20 tolas of gold ornaments went missing from a private bus in which he was travelling.
According to the police, N Sambasiva Rao from Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, a private employee staying at Rajiv Nagar here, had earlier mortgaged the gold in a bank in his native place. To clear the gold loan and release the jewellery, Rao went to the bank on August 24 and after taking the ornaments, boarded a private bus to return to Hyderabad on August 25. He kept the bag under the seat and slept. When he reached Hyderabad, the bag was missing. Unable to find it, he approached the SR Nagar police and lodged a complaint.
The police have formed special teams and sent them to Andhra Pradesh and other places in Hyderabad, where they are examining CCTV footage from the point where Rao boarded the bus.
