Hyderabad: A 20-year-old student died, allegedly by suicide, at her house in Miyapur reportedly because she could not score well in the national pre-medical entrance test NEET.
According to the police, B Sai Latha of Sanjaynagar in the Miyapur police station limits, was living with her parents, both of whom were daily wagers. She had recently appeared for the NEET exam but could not get a good score.
On Monday, she is suspected to have hanged herself to the ceiling fan in the house using a scarf. Relatives who saw her immediately brought her down and rushed her to hospital where she was undergoing treatment. She died on Thursday.
The Miyapur police have registered a case.
