Hyderabad: 21-year-old woman dies by suicide in Amberpet

A 21-year-old woman, Nazneen Begum, allegedly died by suicide at her Amberpet home due to harassment by her husband. Police said she was threatened over money and gold. A case has been registered, and an investigation is ongoing.

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old woman died by suicide at her house in Amberpet, allegedly due to harassment by her in-laws.

According to the police, the woman, Nazneen Begum, a resident of Golnaka, Amberpet, was married to Ayub Jabri, a resident of Amberpet, in November 2025.

“For a few days, Ayub Jabri was harassing Nazneen, demanding money and gold ornaments. He had threatened to kill Nazneen if she did not bring the money. The woman had informed about the demands over phone. Later in the night, she hanged herself to death in the room,” said Amberpet sub-inspector, T Kiran Kumar.

Following a complaint, a case was registered against Ayub Jabri.
