Hyderabad: A passing out parade and oath ceremony of 22 CISF (Fire Cadre) constables was held on Monday at the Fire Service Training Institute (FSTI), a premier institution of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Amit Sharan, Deputy Inspector General of FSTI & CISF, attended as the chief guest.
Sharan, who highlighted the unique role played by the CISF Fire wing in doing various fire-fighting and rescue operations and in saving precious lives, gave away trophies to trainees who secured first position in various indoor, outdoor activities.
As a part of their training, CISF (Fire Cadre) constables were trained on different aspects such as physical training, weapon handling, security matters, etc, apart from their fire safety subjects. FSTI also imparted training sessions in core competency areas like fire-science, fixed fire installation, mobile fire-fighting appliances, hazardous materials, rescue methods etc., according to a press release.
