Hyderabad: 237 persons caught during drunk-driving check on Dec 7 and 8
A total of 237 persons were caught for drunk driving during a special drive conducted by the Cyberabad Traffic Police during the weekend on December 7 and 8. Of them, 191 were two-wheelers, 35 four-wheelers and 11 three-wheelers.
Hyderabad: A total of 237 persons were caught for drunk driving during a special drive conducted by the Cyberabad Traffic Police during the weekend on December 7 and 8. Of them, 191 were two-wheelers, 35 four-wheelers and 11 three-wheelers.
Cyberabad Police said a robust campaign against drunk driving was conducted this weekend leading to the apprehension of a significant 237 offenders. Of them, 19 were found with blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) ranging between 200 mg/100 ml and 550 mg/100 ml.
All the persons caught will be produced before the court. If anybody indulges in driving under the influence of alcohol and cause accidents killing people, they will be arrested and jailed, officials warned.
