Hyderabad: 24-year-old killed after lorry runs over him in Shamshabad
A 24-year-old private employee, Kondurg Venkatesh, was killed after a lorry ran over him near Palamakula in Shamshabad on Monday evening. His friend Likki Karthik Reddy, who was riding pillion, suffered serious injuries in the accident.

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old private employee was killed and his friend injured after a lorry ran over him on Monday evening.
The victim was identified as Kondurg Venkatesh, a resident of Balapur in Ranga Reddy district.
According to Shamshabad Inspector of Police Y Surender Reddy, the victim, Venkatesh, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle with his friend, Likki Karthik Reddy, as the pillion rider when the accident occurred.
“The duo were travelling from Mamidipally towards Jadcherla when, around 5.20 pm, about 200 metres after Palamakula, Venkatesh reportedly attempted to overtake a vehicle ahead. He lost control of the motorcycle and fell onto the road. A lorry allegedly being driven at high speed and negligently then ran over Venkatesh’s head, killing him on the spot. Karthik Reddy suffered serious injuries,” the Inspector said.
Police registered a case against the lorry driver.
