Hyderabad: 25-year-old dies after jumping in front of RTC bus

According to the police, the man, who is yet to be identified, was suspected to be in an inebriated state reportedly put himself in front of a moving RTC bus at Jeedimetla on Sunday.

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man who was suspected to be in an inebriated state reportedly put himself in front of a moving RTC bus and got run over by the vehicle at Jeedimetla on Sunday.

According to the police, the man, who is yet to be identified, was walking on the Shapur Nagar road on Sunday morning around 9 am. On noticing a bus coming on the road, the man rushed towards the bus.

“Even as people were watching him, the man put himself in front of the bus. The bus driver applied the brakes but could not control the vehicle. Eventually, the bus hit the man, who fell on the road and died later due to injuries,” said Jeedimetla sub inspector, A Hareesh.

A case is registered and efforts going on to identify the man.
