Hyderabad: A 27-year-old man was murdered allegedly over a trivial matter in Ghatkesar on Monday night.
The victim, identified as K Bhaskar, a daily wager from Old Bhoiguda in Secunderabad, had moved to Ambedkar Nagar in Ghatkesar for work a few months ago.
According to the police, an argument broke out between Bhaskar and Manideep, a local resident, over an unknown matter. Manideep, who was reportedly in an inebriated condition, allegedly grabbed a knife from his house and indiscriminately stabbed Bhaskar.
Bhaskar suffered multiple stab wounds and was immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital and then to the Gandhi Hospital, where he died under treatment.
On receiving information, the Ghatkesar police reached the spot and took up the investigation. A case of murder was registered, and police officials were investigating from all possible angles, including a previous rivalry.
