Hyderabad: One double bedroom house each has been sanctioned to the families of the two men who died after entering a manhole in Padmavati Nagar earlier this month.
The sanction letters for the houses in Jai Bhavani Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, built under the State government’s Dignity Housing Scheme, were handed over to the families of Ananthaiah and Shiva by Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi in the presence of Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd (MRDCL) chairman and LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy.
“The houses haven been sanctioned on the instruction of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao,” the Mayor said.
Financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh each was extended to the families earlier.
