Hyderabad: 4-year-old boy dies after getting stuck in lift
The boy, identified as Surender, lived with his parents and sister in a six-story apartment building where his father, Shyam Bahadur, worked as a security guard. The family resided in a small room adjacent to the lift.
Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a four-and-a-half-year-old boy died allegedly after getting stuck in the lift at an apartment building in Santoshnagar Colony under Asif Nagar police station limits on Wednesday night
The boy identified as Surender was staying with his parents and sister in the six-storied apartment, where his father Shyam Bahadur, works as a security guard. The family lives in a small room next to the lift.
On Wednesday night, around 10.30 pm, Surender, while playing, tried to sneak into the lift compartment with collapsible doors and got stuck between the doors.
According to the police, initially no one found out about him. However, his parents later realised he had been missing and in the lift and in an unconscious state in a pool of blood.
The apartment residents complained to the police. They rescued the boy and immediately rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors confirmed he had died.
The family originally from Nepal had come to the city about seven months ago to earn a living. Initially, Shyam Bahadur worked as a security guard for a building under construction in Gudimalkapur. about three months ago.
