Hyderabad: 55-year-old woman bludgeoned to death with stick, LPG cylinder by son
According to the police, Chandrakala lived with her son Prakash (35), an agricultural laborer, along with other family members. Prakash was addicted to alcohol and frequently argued with his mother over minor issues.
Hyderabad: A 55-year-old woman was bludgeoned to death, allegedly by her son in their house at Rallaguda city suburb on Wednesday night.
According to the police, the woman Chandrakala was living with her son Prakash (35), an agricultural labourer and other family members. Prakash was habituated to alcohol and often picked up fights with his mother over trivial matters.
On Wednesday late night, he picked up an argument with her after which he is suspected to have killed her by attacking with a stick and bludgeoning with a LPG gas cylinder when she was sleeping.
“He attacked her with a stick and gas cylinder in the house when she was fast asleep. She died on the spot,” police said, adding that neighbours alerted the police.
The RGIA police are investigating.
Efforts are on to nab Prakash, who has gone absconding, while the body was shifted to the government hospital for autopsy.
