Hyderabad: 600 enthusiasts take part in Club Run 2021
Apart from the runners who physically took-part in the half marathon (21 km), about 200 runners participated in a virtual 10K and another 100 participated in a virtual 5K run

Hyderabad: After a break of almost a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the amateur running season in Hyderabad started on Sunday with Hyderabad Runners holding its annual Club Run 2021 at Gaudium Sportopia, which attracted close to 600 enthusiasts from the city.
Apart from the runners who physically took-part in the half marathon (21 km), about 200 runners participated in a virtual 10K and another 100 participated in a virtual 5K run.
The annual club run, which was inaugurated by Secretary Agriculture B Janardhan Reddy along with Chairman of Gaudium Group Nityananda Reddy and founder and director of The Guadium Group Kirthi Reddy, over the years has grown in its popularity and is a qualification event for health enthusiasts who aspire to take part in the Hyderabad Marathon.
With a choice of distance suited to every class of runner, the Club Run was conducted following all Covid protocols and supported by volunteers from Hyderabad Runners and Guadium Group, a press release said.
Due to the Covid situation, the event was planned with a team of 70 doctors and paramedical staff from Care Hospital available to attend to any kinds of medical emergencies.
