Hyderabad: 61 unfit structures demolished
Hyderabad: Continuing its special drive against dilapidated buildings, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) pulled down 61 structurally unfit structures on Saturday. Hyderabad: Continuing its special drive against dilapidated buildings, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) pulled down 61 structurally unfit structures on Saturday. The action was initiated on these buildings located in GHMC Secunderabad and Charminar zones.
The civic body officials also evacuated six families, who were living in dilapidated buildings. Out of the 61 buildings razed, 29 are located in GHMC Secunderabad zone and the families who were vacated were staying in houses falling under Charminar zone.
Since the special commenced on June 26, a total of 127 buildings have been demolished and 67 buildings have been repaired, vacated or sealed.
